Unusual Georgian Oak Table Settle From Carmarthenshire

A splendidly patinated Welsh oak settle, the rectangular, recessed panels with moulded edges, the high back with projecting end finials and a unusual fall-down flap to one end supported by the right hand arm and originally a strut to the left (long since removed). The box seat retains the two original, removable, single-plank lids. By family tradition, from the Ferryside area of Carmarthenshire. Circa 1780-1800.
