This is a wonderful George V solid silver vesta case with an applied round enamel plaque of an English bulldog. Dated Birmingham 1917, it bears the marks of the Rolason Brothers who specialised in unusual vesta cases. Of rounded rectangular form, the plain silver body with a hinged lid and attached suspension ring. The front inset with an enamel panel depicting the head of an English bulldog. The base with striker.
