One of the most attractive variants of vintage door bell chimes, these date from the late 1940s. Morphy- Richards Ltd, St Mary Cray in Kent, England. Model: B.220. Substantially made in metal with a period grey ''crackle finish'', the musical notation is made of polished brass, with brass ends to the tubes. Gives a traditional ''bing-bong'' sound. Will run off a 9 volt battery, but ideally a 12 volt supply from a mains bell transformer. Measures: 7'' wide at the case, and 11 3/4'' overall depth. Condition is almost mint, obviously never been installed, no faults blemishes to note.
