Large Regency Rosewood Overmantle Mirror

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Tom Scott Antiques

Fabulous and unusual Regency rosewood overmantle with original mercury mirror plate.

Super quality and with beautifully turned pillars, finished with carved capitals.

The mirror will hang well as shown here above a sideboard, but originally would have hung over a mantle and likely rested on the mantle piece itself, but would also work standing on a console table too.

Great condition and has been fully cleaned and polished, showing that beautiful rosewood grain throughout.

Measuring:

42” or 107cm high

54” or 137cm wide at the top cornice

50” or 127cm wide at the base plinth

6 1/2” or 17cm depth at the cornice

3 3/4” or 9.5cm depth at the base plinth
