A heavy bench, probably dating from the mid-19th Century made in the “Serpent” design. A good sturdy bench with black paint which is starting to fade in places. Wood slat seats which have been stained and showing wear with age, would benefit from painting overall depending how smart you want it to look! A useful seat for the garden. Please notice the interesting brass plaque to the back of the seat inscribed “The Happy Seat, Goshen Bank 1872”.
