A highly unusual, unique even, North West Persian village rug, tightly knotted with good natural dyes and shiny, fine wool. The rug is in good solid condition, even pile, traces of minor wear, one or two old repairs to field, all ends and sides original. It has been deep cleaned and is floor ready. This one has had many experts scratching their heads, but Saveh, Serab and Kelerdasht villages have all been suggested as the weaving centre for this striking rug, Circa 1900.
