The clock strikes the hours on a coiled gong with one blow of the gong for the half hours. The dial has an ''engine turned'' mask with the main dial showing the retailers who had the ''appiontment'' of being Clockmakers to Queen Victoria, (To the Queen). With an alarm sub dial directly below the Roman number 6.
