Founded in 1835 by John Gibbard, recorded as the oldest Canadian furniture makes, continuously operating for 173 years. Makers of fine furniture.
The desk standing on long cabriole supports, has a lift-up top, which opens to reveal a slide-out walnut writing surface, with compartments and pigeon holes, with a central drawer to the back.
The front of the desk when closed has a beaded raised panel, with pretty carved decoration below.
In excellent antique condition. Minor signs of use. Has a few light ring marks to the top, shown in the pictures, but really very minor.
Very solid, sturdy and strong.
