Silver Mounted Whisky Tot (Chhota Peg). In excellent condition. Sterling Silver. Hallmarked Birmingham 1936. The silver label is the same date and makers mark, Hugin & Heath. Stands 4 inches (10cm) tall. No damage or repairs. Anglo-Indian in origin, a chota peg is a slang term for a drink of a spirits, usually whisky and soda water, which one drinks in the early evening on the veranda while wearing one''s solar topi (pith helmet).
