A handsome antique Victorian smokers bow chair / captains desk chair with makers initials. It has a curved top rail supported by 8 turned spindles set into a solid elm seat. There are also 2 metal strengthening bars supporting the arms (probably a later addition) which make the chair very solid. The turned legs are supported by double cross stretchers. The elm seat has a beautiful swirly wild grain to it. The to back of the seat is a makers initials. Sturdy and solid it has been stripped and refinished at some point. Would make a lovely desk chair, hall or kitchen chair.

Elm and beech
