A striking early 19th century porcelain London shape trio of teacup, coffee cup and saucer. Beautifully painted with a stylised imari type design with branched underglaze blue trees, feather edged in gilt, with very finely detailed orange flowers and shaded green leaves. Further gilt decoration to the background, handles, rims and a central device inside the teacup. Unmarked, possibly New Hall, c.1820.
The teacup measures 7.8cm (3 1/2'') high and 5.7cm (2 1/4'') rim to rim. The coffee cup is 5.9cm (2 5/16'') high and 7cm (2 3/4'') wide and the saucer measures 14cm (5 1/2'') wide.
In excellent condition with no damage or repair and very minor handling wear.
