Very rare Christian bronze statue of Christ/cross ,c5th-7th century AD. Most probably from the Eastern Mediterranean area , Palestine or Constantinople , it is well cast with lovely detail to the head of Christ still evident despite its great age. The bronze has taken on great colour and has the aged smooth patina you would expect from an ancient piece.
