A rare and stunning English solid sterling silver dish ring. It is hallmarked for Sheffield 1908 with the maker being Fenton Brothers Ltd. It has superbly designed to hold a hot pan or plate off the table surface. It has been pierced with animals including a swan and fox, the cartouche has been engraved with a griffin crest. It is in superb condition being free from splits and repairs, just the odd faint mark. It measures approx. 8 inches (20.2cm) across the base by 7 inches (18cm) across the top by 4 inches (10cm) tall and weighs 352 grams. A very well made rare piece.
