George III Antique Silver Caster, John Delmester, London 1765

An excellent George III silver caster for sugar or condiments. Made in London in 1765 by the specialist caster maker, John Delmester. There are a full set of crisp hallmarks under the base and part marks on the lid. It has a decorative flame style finial and an engraved crest of a hand. There is a good pierced top and unusually an extra removable grill in the lid. A good piece of Georgian silver, useable and very collectible.
