He was born before WW1 in 1907 in the Polish capital city Warsaw. He did fight in WW2 and was taken prisoner by the Germans in 1939. He was rescued from his captivity by the Russians near the end of WW2. After WW2 he emigrated to France in Paris. In the early 1950’s as shown in the French archive he had an exhibition at the Salon in Paris.He is so well known for his portraits of women. His attractive niece is the model seen in most of his works. In the 1970s, he did earn the greatest award the Grand Vermeil. He died in 1983 at which time his paintings become highly sought.
