A distressed light Oak large open Bookcase surviving from the victorian era c1880.
 
Standing on a carved plinth base and constructed with solid oak and with carved foliate edge.
 
The bookcase as a whole is Beautifully carved and is of good proportion. With two long adjustable shelves so you can not only display books but anything you would like.
 
The backboards are original and this lovely bookcase is offered in good useable country house condition with weathering and wear throughout which only adds to the lovely distressed. ''Miss Haversham'' vibe it has.
 
A real statement piece.
