Dating to about 1880 this large silver plated serving tray is decorated with acorns and oak leaves - the regimental emblems of ''The Cheshire Regiment''. It was gifted to a retiring member of the regiment by the Sergeants Mess in about 1903. It has been re-plated at some stage and has a small crack in one of the handles but otherwise is an impressive piece of late Victorian plate.
